Patton Wilson

A contemporary American realist painter, Patton Wilson, paints in oil, egg tempera, casein, and egg oil emulsion.  Alternating between these media and the appropriate painting surface keeps him intrigued with the creative process allowing him to interpret ideas in different ways.  His still life paintings are carefully constructed compositions painted from life.  He often begins the painting process by creating graphite, ink or color studies working out the issues of composition and light.
