Lisbeth Sabol's exquisite bronze sculptures are cast using the lost wax method of bronze-casting to capture the intricate detail of each piece. Hand-applied patinas add subtle color variation. Her stone work is hand carved.
Each limited edition is usually cast in an edition of 100 and each bronze is signed and numbered by the artist.

"Awakening Muse", Alabaster Stone-carving, 18"H x 12"W x 11"D
Ms. Sabol carved "Awakening Muse" entirely by hand during her NPS artist residency as the Mount Rushmore National Memorial Sculptor-in-Residence. The alabaster she chose to carve was sourced directly from the Black Hills of South Dakota; giving the piece the added distinction of originating directly from the place she carved this singular sculpture.
"The American Bison", Bronze, Limited Edition of 100, 6" x 5" x 3"
Lisbeth Sabol created the American Bison while she was Sculptor-in-Residence at Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota. Living in South Dakota, she was in close proximity to the magnificent herds of bison roaming wild and free in Custer State Park.
"The Mermaid", Bronze, Limited Edition of 100, 27" x 18" x 14"
Lisbeth says “I have always been inspired by the mystery of the sea. I feel a deep connection to water and the ocean.” The Mermaid’s powerful form gracefully rises to the surface, as if from the depths of imagination itself. Her hair is swept by ocean currents as her face turns up towards the light and the sky.
"The Dancer", Bronze, Limited Edition of 100, 12” x 5” x 4”
The Dancer radiates an impression of complete abandon. With a blissful expression on her face, she captures a moment in the dance, gathering up her hair and poised on one foot. In this sculpture, the human figure is informed with a balance between realism and gesture. Like much of Ms. Sabol's work, the Dancer is a dynamic figure balancing in space, challenging gravity.
"Nymph", Bronze, Limited Edition of 100, 8" x 5" x 4"
With arms outstretched, Nymph balances gracefully on tiptoe. The liveliness and drama of the moment unfolds as the figure actively balances on one single crucial point. Ms. Sabol informs the human form with equal parts realism and gesture. Form and gesture come together to ignite the spirit within the sculpture. With her long neck and flowing hair, Nymph is reminiscent of Botticelli’s Birth of Venus.
"Arching Nude", Bronze, Limited Edition of 100, 7" x 3" x 3"
Arching Nude beautifully portrays the essence of dynamic balance. She is delicately poised on her shins and arching back into space, as if being pushed over by an immense invisible force. Under this pressure, she is in the process of bending but not breaking.
